The Hockey Canada Foundation's Assist Fund opens for the 2026-27 season on August 1, 2026.

The program will provide $1.3 million in financial assistance to help children across Canada access the game of hockey. Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis and applications will close once all funds have been allocated.

The Assist Fund application portal is now available through the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR), making the application process easier for participants and associations. 

Families interested in applying are encouraged to submit their application as soon as possible after the program opens. Hockey New Brunswick will also share information on its website and social media channels beginning August  1st.

A special congratulations to Nick Butler on his new role as RIC after previously serving as Vice Chair, and to Curtis Rossignol as he transitions from Chair into the Past Chair position. 

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to Lisa McLaughlin and Robert Brosens as they depart the board after years of service and countless hours dedicated to the association. Your hard work. commitment, and passion have made a lasting impact, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you have done for our players, families, and communities. Thank you for all your dedication to minor hockey.

TMHA Chase the Ace has officially wrapped up after week 8 with the Ace being found. While it would have been nice to see it go a little longer, we are incredibly thankful for the amazing support from our membership and community throughout the fundraiser.
